This year, we celebrated women by supporting "Women on Air" initiative created by our partners MExoxo and Lean In Hellas. The Initiative took place from 26th till 31th of March 2021 under the auspices of General Secretariat for Demography and Family Policy and Gender Equality and Athens Municipality, with the support of Easy 97,2 and Rythmos 9,49.

The Initiative

Radio interviews on Easy Breakfast:

Kostas Bakoyiannis, mayor of Athens, Zeta Geka, author & #MExoxoWoman and Thanasis Tsaltampasis, actor & Lean In Hellas’ supporter shared their opinions for modern women’s needs and challenges.

Break Your Ceiling:

35 women broke their ceiling in one on one mentorship sessions with Elpida Founder of MExoxo. 65% of the beneficiaries stated that will attend MExoxo's upcoming educational programs.

The Game:

82 women registered and informed about bias. 20 women joined and actively participated the interactive game 50 Ways to Fight Bias“ designed by the global organization Lean In.

  • Newsletter: The initiative will be shared by Lean In to its Global Network via newsletter along with other initiatives that stand out from around the world

  • Letter to Women’s Associations: A letter was written and dispatched to Women’s Associations in order to raise awareness over the initiative and invite them to share it with their members. Three "sister" Associations responded and spread the word for the initiative
